Dear Friends, We are starting the new year with a new jewellery collection in our shop. Sometimes I find it challenging to name my compositions in a proper way. It has happenned to me plenty of times, that my local customers in atelier while buying a product demanded its name as an important feature. In January we decided to use the names of beautiful places I have visited and associated in a way with colours and shapes of my compositions. Today I invite you to go to Stockholm, a city I have visited once together with my family.
The city impresses with the multitude of shades of green you can encounter in it. Swedes are caring a lot of the maintenance of parks and green spaces across the cities, what makes them nature friendly and appealing for those who like to spend their time outdoors You can find plenty of interesting shades of green in my necklace. I achieved this effect by mixing the green stones together with bright and dark elements.
Islands on the river
Stockholm as an area spreads among various islands what enhances its charm as the river has many interesting colours too. The effect of islands is achieved in my necklace with a use of Biwa pearls which emerge from among other gemstones creating an unique impression.
Stockholm is a home to Swedish royal family. The national colours of the kingdom are blue and yellow. Yellow is a beautiful and bright colour symbolising nobility and wealth. In my necklace I used yellow quartz stone to give it glamorous effect. I hope you enjoyed our little travel, the Stockholm necklace is waiting for its new queen.
Where do we go next time can you make a guess?
